一场意外中，女孩金兰（孟霞 饰）救下了军阀周士钊（马子俊 饰），由此认识了他的副官胡凯（刘立 饰），英俊帅气的胡凯一下子就吸引了金兰的注意，令这位纯情少女坠入了情网之中。阮应（朱一龙 饰）原本是要暗杀周士钊的刺客，却因为金兰的横插一脚导致任务失败，不仅如此，他还吃了金兰一棍子，失去了记忆。 金兰不知道该拿失忆的阮应怎么办，只能先让他住进自己家里，准备之后找个机会将他杀死为民除害，哪知道尝试了好几次均已失败告终。在此过程中，阮应渐渐的喜欢上了这个单纯善良的女孩，殊不知令一个名叫周小惠（何杜娟 饰）的女孩亦对自己芳心暗许。
